The floor plan plays a crucial role within RestoManager. Based on this plan, the system can calculate how many seats and thus potential covers you can accept.
Important: Even if you do not work with the floor plan but rather with the timeline or list view, it is important to create a floor plan. This is because the capacity of your establishment is calculated using the tables on your floor plan. It is therefore also important to indicate possible combinations. If you configure person options in modules up to, for example, 8 people, you must also provide combinations up to 8 people on your floor plan.
The module "Floor Plan" is divided into various functionalities.
On the left is the area within which the floor plan will be constructed
On the right you will find respectively
- The zones
- The functionality to add tables and walls, link them and intuitively set priorities.
1. Floors
Before you can create a floor plan, you must first add zones or floors.
- To add a new floor, click the "+ add floor" button
-
To configure this floor, choose the edit button on the right.
Here you can respectively- Choose the name of the floor / area
- Add an image to be displayed when the customer is allowed to choose a zone in the frame itself, while placing a reservation
- Whether this zone is open for online booking.
- Save or delete the zone.
To change the order of your floors, click on the left and drag up or down.
To make your floor larger or smaller, click and drag at the bottom right.
2. Adding tables and walls
To add a table or wall, simply click and drag it from the right-hand bar to your floor:
Note that when you arrange the tables, you will see handy magnetic guiding lines that help you align your tables neatly.
If you want to move all your tables, select them, click and drag!
For walls, you proceed in exactly the same way!
3. Combinations, fill priority and table settings:
You can easily link tables together in two ways.
- You can create combinations by selecting the desired tables by clicking and dragging or by selecting specific tables using CTRL+click (for Mac users CMD+click). Then choose "link tables" on the right:
- Or you can link tables by selecting one table, choosing "link tables" and then clicking the desired tables:
You can set the fill priority by choosing "set priority" on the right and then clicking the tables.
To configure further, you can always click the edit button.
You can set the following properties there:
Table number or name
Minimum number of people
Maximum number of people
Minimum number of people in combination
-
Maximum number of people in combination
- Use the combination fields if you allow tables to be joined for larger groups thans standard capacity.
- ⚠️ This configuration concerns the table you are editing and allows an exceptional higher capacity to be added.
For example, in combination an extra seat is added to a table for 1 to 2 people. In that case, the minimum number of people in combination is 1 and the maximum is 3, for that specific table.
-
Fill priority:
- ⚠️ The lower the number, the sooner this table will be assigned.
- Tip: give tables by the window a higher priority to make your establishment appear more attractive to passers-by.
Linked tables: useful for larger groups
Shape: choose between round or square
As you can see below, you can very quickly build a floor plan by moving elements, resizing them and, if you want to see it differently, deleting or undoing:
Finally, you only keep what you need – once you have the desired dimensions for your floor plan, you can reduce it again by dragging. It will always stop at a wall or table:
TIP:
The use of the following shortcuts is allowed.
For Apple/Mac users, replace CTRL with ⌘ CMD
