Validating Gift Vouchers

You can validate gift vouchers both in the app (mobile phone / tablet) and on the computer - find out how below!

Validation

Using a mobile phone or iPad:

1. Open the RestoManager App.
2. Tap the QR code at the top right.
3. Scan the QR code of the gift voucher the guest has (on paper, email, etc.)
4. You will immediately receive an overview with the status of the voucher, expiry date & (remaining) value, and the option to validate (partially).
   

Using your computer’s webcam:

1. Within RestoManager – navigate to gift card
2. Click on "validate"
3. Click the camera icon 
4. Scan the QR code
   Here you will also get the options mentioned above.

FAQ

• Question: The guest has forgotten the voucher, can I find a voucher in another way? 
  Answer: Besides the QR code, you can search in by name, value or code. Navigate to "gift cards" and enter the relevant information.
• Question: My camera image doesn't load in the RestoManager, but I am sure it works, what am I doing wrong?
  Answer: You may need to grant permission for your browser (on computer) or the app (mobile/tablet) to use your camera. This setting varies depending on the device.
• Question: A voucher has expired - can I extend it?
  Answer: As a business owner, you are always in control so you can decide to extend or still validate a voucher! – Search the voucher by name or code and click "extend gift voucher" at the bottom right.
• Question: A guest cannot find the email with the voucher, can I resend it?
  Answer: Search the voucher by name or code and click "resend" at the bottom right.
• Question: I am not sure if I validated a voucher correctly – how can I best check this? 
  Answer: When you look up a voucher, you will always see a clear status: Unused, Used, Expired. 
• Question: A guest wants to pay with an online purchased gift voucher, how do I process this in my digital till?
  Answer: Usually, an additional payment method is added for this: external gift vouchers.
